Botanical Crafts and Flower Arranging Classes

Harry P. Leu Gardens offers a wide array of classes for horticulture, landscaping, fine arts, and specialties all year round for children and adults. Please call the Education Department 407.246.3621 or email linda.schmidt@cityoforlando.net for further information.

Registration is available at leugardens.eventbrite.com  or by calling Linda Schmidt at 407.246.3621. Registration forms may be submitted via fax at 407.246.2849 or email to linda.schmidt@cityoforlando.net. Pre-registration and pre-payment, recommended for all classes and required for classes as noted, must be completed by 5:00 pm the last weekday before the class. Walk-ins may be permitted in certain classes as also noted, but must first pay at the front desk. Evening walk-ins must pay by check or credit card.

Participants must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit. If we must cancel a class, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time, and you will receive a full refund or credit.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available to FNGLA Certified Professionals upon request.

Only those who pay for the class will be permitted in the classroom. Childcare services are not provided.

  
Tropical Backyard Florist

Learn to make one-of-a-kind tropical floral arrangements during a hands-on workshop using Florida's large assortment of beautiful tropical plant material along with found objects and an assortment of recycled and readily-available plant containers. All supplies will be provided, but bring your favorite floral clippers, scissors, aprons, and plant material if desired.

Hypertufa
Saturday, May 17
11:00 am-3:00 pm

Fee: $70 (Members $60)

Wear your old clothes and bring your imagination! Hypertufa planters grace the gardens of Europe and will add character to your yard, along with saving you money on pots and providing the best possible growing environment. Learn the technique and take home four completed planters of various sizes and styles. All supplies are included, along with molds to keep and material to add color to your masterpieces. Please bring your lunch.
