Holiday Backyard Florist

Learn to create
beautiful holiday flower arrangements at home using techniques and
design principles the professionals use. Everyday materials and
equipment easily found at home or from the grocery store or local
specialty shops will be used to demystify the age old art of flower
arranging. Several large and small arrangements will be demonstrated
appropriate for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

In this class we will
use terracotta clay to sculpt a wall planter where your plants will
become part of the sculpture. Your sculpture will be fired in a kiln to
make it permanent. Bring an open mind, and your curiosity. All sculpting
materials will be provided. $12 materials and firing fee to be paid to
the instructor in class. There must be a minimum of 8.

Wear your old clothes
and bring your imagination! Hypertufa planters grace the gardens of
Europe and will add character to your yard, along with saving you money
on pots and providing the best possible growing environment. Learn the
technique and take home four completed planters of various sizes and
styles. All supplies are included, along with molds to keep and material
to add color to your masterpieces. Please bring your lunch.
