6:30 pm-8:30 pm
Fee: $80 (Member $70)
Are you still using automatic settings on your
camera? If so, then this class is for you! This introductory workshop is
for beginners who would like to learn the basics of their digital
camera, for those photographers just entering the digital camera realm
as well as for those who already have one foot in the digital door.
Students will discover: how cameras work, how to control their images
and break free of the automatic settings, and the basic knowledge to
become comfortable with digital SLR cameras. Between sessions, home
exercises will reaffirm the class principles making the student more
proficient at the art of photography. Please bring a digital SLR camera
and manual. No
previous experience is required – just a willingness to learn.

Developing Your Creative Artistic Vision
Saturdays, October 19 & 26
9:30 am-1:00 pm
Fee: $40 (Member $35)
Just as a music student learns the principles of music to play guitar,
you, the photographer, can learn to see creatively; to develop your
photographic vision through sound principles of composition; and enable
you to identify and capture great photographs. Besides DSLR
photographers, techniques in this course can be used by the camera phone
user, the point and shoot as well as many advanced camera types. Even
painters will find this class of benefit as we talk about composition,
light and inspiration. The technical aspects of photography will not be
discussed in this class. All skill levels are welcome.
