Universal Design

Harry P. Leu Gardens embraces the principles of universal design to serve our vibrant and diverse communities, ensuring that the gardens are accessible and enjoyable for visitors of all abilities, cultures, and economic opportunities. The parking, entrance, and pathways are designed to accommodate those with wheelchairs, strollers, and walkers, offering smooth and well-maintained surfaces. The Welcome Center ticketing, restrooms and seating spaces are all ADA-compliant, and wheelchairs are offered free of charge. Through thoughtful planning and design, Harry P. Leu Gardens strives to create an inclusive environment where everyone can experience the beauty of nature comfortably and safely.

Displays within the Gardens are designed to enable people with mobility, vision, and other physical needs to enjoy scents, sounds, and easy access to natural environments.
