Let nature be your muse during Poetry Day at the Gardens. This special day invites you to slow down, observe, and let nature inspire your words.
Guests are encouraged to bring a notebook and their favorite writing tool to spend time composing original work in the peaceful setting of the Gardens. Find a quiet bench beneath the trees, sit beside blooming flowers, or wander along shaded pathways as you gather inspiration to shape your poetry.
In partnership with the Orange County Library System (OCLS), visitors can also experience a Poetry Walk, through the Gardens. Plus, additional activities by the Harry P. Leu Gardens Education Team.
Poetry Day is open to writers and readers of all ages and experience levels. Join us to celebrate your writing, the beauty of the natural world, and the magic that happens when the two come together.
